I don't feel the need to make excuses to anyone, specially not to some judgemental twit I doubt I have never met.  I do my share of moshing on the stage, the floor is up to you.   So if you wanna mosh, thats great, we need more moshers in the scene anyway, but you should lead by example rather than by coercion.

Me and some friends started a moshpit at our highschool ball. Something had to make Usher playing bearable and it was that and the fact we managed to make birds tear their dresses, brake shoes and fall over in general. Getting away with it was even better.
