Striborg is trying too hard or something. I know it's about atmosphere, but to me it seems to lack solidity  when compared to bands like Leviathan in what could loosely be referred to as the same genre.

Scorpius was a great local band\release. Well worth checking out.

To answer the topic question. I wouldn't have a clue. All Metal albums are awesome in one way or another.

Sounds like it starts out with a bit of wisdom and then rounds out with a bit of hate.
My hands are choking, my knife is broken.
An orgasm is what I need.
Your blood is spilling, the sight is thrilling.
To cum I need to see you bleed.

JUDAS PRIEST - Stained Class

In 1978 when the music population was fixated on Disco or Punk an album was unleashed that would lay the blueprint for metal as we know it today...

Where politically charged teen angst, crash & burn punk rock like Sex Pistols or the Clash or Disco like Saturday night Fever today sounds 'of' its time Staind Class sounds timeless, so far ahead of its time when it was released many people did not appreciate it or take it seriously and laughed. Not to worry - Slayer, Iron Maiden, Metallica etc were yet to release any albums, but class was in - Priest layed down the curriculum and these young guys listening were taking notes..

When all the plebs at my school were listening to middle of the road Dire Straits and INXS, someone gave me a cassette, it looked kind of evil and twisted.. into the Walkman it went... Exciter.. Beyond the Realms of Death, Better By You, Better Than Me.. Saints In Hell this was like surgical precision with the rock n roll hand brake hacked right off, attitude, musicality & power, master craftmanship, something to be appreciated - this was the music that was forever.. the line was drawn in the sand that day and a lifelong metalhead was born.

Slayer,Reign in Blood-   hard to think that it was made in the 80's amongst spandex, platforms and hair longer and brighter then your mums, The album is my favourite, such a big step up from show no mercy.production and compostion wise, its fast lombardos double kicks are like machine guns king/hanneman riffs get faster and faster and more brutal through the whole album, And Araya is a lyrical Genuis,If i had to explain the auschwitz death camps to someone who didnt no about it id tell him to listen to the song,Thats why im a SLAYER :headbang: fan and thats why its my favourite album.,
Auschwitz,the meaning of pain.

good synopsis of your choice HMM...hard to find one of those today anywhere, or maybe every single one is given the standard of mainstream noise...
