ipod question
« on: July 02, 2010, 01:30:22 AM »
hey, does anyone know how (if its even possible) I can extract music from my ipod touch to my itunes or computer or whatever? All my music (100+GB's of it) was on my external hard drive, which now no longer works, much to my disgust. I have alot of it backed up on my computer, but theres some on my ipod that is no longer on my computer. Itunes is about the least user-friendly program in history

http://www.copytrans.net/

That tool should do the job, look for Copytrans Suite - it works quite well I used it for my iPod cos I fucking hate iTunes...

Hard-drive recovery is probably not worth looking into as its prohibitively expensive. Let me look around and see if I can find some good restoration software, I might be able to restore it myself.

Eh, this is why I steer clear of all things Apple....they lock you into their formats, and "their" way of doing things. Unfortunatly since I don't care for iPods and apple, I can't help you with that.

As far as HDD recovery, I got some good free software that will be able to restore anything for you, as long as it hasn't been physically ruined (physically destroyed or overwritten by other data). otherwise if the HDD is physically damaged, then it becomes costly (To the point of $1000 easily...). Drop me a line about what has happened to the HDD etc and I can sort you out.

Heh.. beat me to it Damo, my tip for Haydz was gonna be to put the ipod in the bin and get something that isn't an ipod, or that uses some gay proprietary software.
:)

(Not helpful for your situation at all, but ah well  ;D)
