I attended a music conference earlier in the week, so thought I'd give you all a bit of relevant insider's info (and make one thread rather than a hundred different ones, although some of which has been leaked already)...anyway, so it's posted...
The METALLICA/SLAYER/ANTHRAX/MEGADETH tour (as seen in cinemas) is tentatively scheduled to be released in Australia, on both DVD and Blu-Ray formats, by Universal Music on 11th October. There will also be a deluxe box set featuring the 2 DVDs, as well as the bands' full sets on 4 CDs, plus other exclusive promo merch.
SLIPKNOT's next official DVD, entitled "(sic)nesses", should be released in Australia through RoadRunner/Warner Music on 28th September. It will feature their live performance at the Download Festival 2009, a 45 minute film directed by Shawn Crahan that captures the band on the road, & the music videos from the latest album "All Hope Is Gone.".
GUNS'N'ROSES have been announced to perform at this year's V8 SuperCars Sydney 500 event on Saturday, 4th December, and according to a Sony Music source they are said to be announcing side shows, which apparently include Perth and Adelaide...keep an eye out for official dates soon.
KILLSWITCH ENGAGE & MEGADETH are apparently both scheduled to return to Australia during December, so watch for tour info in the near future.
