Both 'headling' acts of both stages playing at the same time is a bit retarded.

it sure is, but at least it means it'll be slightly easier to get close to the stage for Megadeth, so I dont mind.

For me would have liked to see Katatonia & 3 Inches of Blood on later and Dropkick Murphys on earlier, but I guess the promoters have thier reasons.

Yeah, Dropkicks are better and more popular.

Craaaaaazy stuff from the promoters there. What were they thinking!
My hands are choking, my knife is broken.
An orgasm is what I need.
Your blood is spilling, the sight is thrilling.
To cum I need to see you bleed.

Haha yeah, what nitwits would be watching parkway drive instead of Megadeth.
(Self explanatory I know)

Who do you reckon most of the punk crowd will gravitate towards? For the reasons mentioned above I'm hoping it's Parkway Drive but I'm not sure.

Megadeth being the more metal of the 2, Im thinking Parkway because its "cool to hate metal" if you are a punk cunt

You know one thing I'll never understand about you.  No matter how many times I kick you in the teeth, smack you with the manhole cover, throw hot water in your face, pour molten glass in your rectum.....you'll always come back for more.

Headliners on at the same time? I wonder if you can hear both stages from the crowd, or if they'll find a way to block out the sound.

That was a much better day than I expected.

1. FREE public transport door to door non stop (Rockingham to Joondalup)
2. A stage inside (with working aircon) out of the sun
3. The dud bands allowed time to queue for tucker & drinks

For $120 or whatever it was I got to see 3 Internationals I'd never seen (Katatonia, 3 Inches Of Blood & GWAR (Amazing!!)
as well a Megadeth & Dropkick Murphy's.

I came away happy

Fucking brilliant!  Watching Gwar was surreal, I can't believe they crammed SO MUCH into a 40 minute set, and they played mostly old stuff!  They have their stage show down to a fine art after all these years, they can set up and clean down all that stuff in no time.  Spewing Cyborg Destructo lost his mic for most of his song though.

3 Inches of Blood were awesome too, Dropkicks and Katatonia - I missed NOFX, anyone have any thoughts?

Joondalup Arena has a pretty great layout, both stages sounded pretty good and getting around was a breeze - even getting into the gig after the doors opened was easy as.

The second best thing about GWAR was the thought of Parkway Drive dancing around in Oderus' semen.

MAGGOTS!!!

MAGGOTS!!!

NOFX were pretty good, copped 2 water bottle shots to the head about 30 seconds into the first song. Also played the opening riff to Megadeths 'Symphony of Destruction'.

Again, I cant stress enough, Suicide Silence were awful

Megadeth were awesome, good show. Gwar were hilarious. Came in after 3:30pm so missed 3 Inches of Blood and Katatonia but saw a few other bands, not impressed, Suicide was fucking shit, Alkaline was boring, most of the bands were either pussy pop punk or emo. But was well worth it to see Dave and co, got a sweet spot near the front as well, crowds were pretty relaxed and spread out so was a good day out overall. Will be interesting to see who headlines next year.

I cant wait!!! ever since high school I have wanted to be spermed on by Oderus.... 2 weeks til my life is complete!

Spermed on, pussed on, bled on, biled on.... front and centre on the rail. Best place to be for a GWAR show. That was fucking incredible, I only wish it went twice as long.

Megadeth ripped too. That was the best I have seen them play out of the 3 times I have. So much for the "Rust In Peace in its entirety" thing though. Symphony, Peace Sells, Head Crusher etc etc. Still, Im not complaining!

By the way, that had an awesome atmosphere considering the cross over of genres (therefore crowds) and all that. A great set up, getting a drink was a breeze, moving from place to place was no problem, the sound was good on both stages, it wasnt nearly as hot as expected, and I found a nice corner on the grass to go smoke joints while the shit bands were on.

Uhhhh they did play everything off Rust In Peace????
Vagrancy wasn't it? That's gonna look real good on his grave stone in Arlington: Here lies John Rambo, winner of the Congressional Medal of Honor, survivor of countless incursions behind enemy lines. Killed for vagrancy in Jerkwater, USA.
