THAT'S RIGHT, AFTER MANY MONTHS (YEARS) OF MUCKIN' ABOUT, THRASH METAL WARLORDS 'SHRAPNEL' ARE OFFICIALLY LAUNCHING THEIR DEBUT ALBUM 'HELLBOUND' WITH A HELLISH SHOW AT THE ROCKET ROOM, DEC 3RD, 2010.

Shrapnel is a rip roaring, killspeed, old school thrash metal assault hellbent on overthrowing every man/beast in it's wake!
The sqaud was originally formed in Western Australia during the final year of last century (1999) by Andrew Doepel and Louis Rando, a duo who have been involved in many established Australian metal bands over the years (Dybbuk,Pagan,The Furor, Nervecell (Dubai), Millitant Mass, Choke, Vespers Descent, Pathogen, Mhorgl).
In 1999, a sets worth of blistering thrash violations were completed, but layed dormant until a decade later, when a full 5 man line up was recruited to thrash the fuck out them on the live front!
Early 2010 saw the release of their first full length album entitled 'HELLBOUND', mixed by Perth's greatest metal producer, Aidan Barton. 'HELLBOUND' delivers a top quality, relentless thrash attack that is capable of exiting even the most stubborn thrash metal purists!

From the get-go Shrapnel is true to its name shooting ammunition and metal in every direction. Track after track is a mix of early true thrash metal and exploding death metal combined into one. That entails screeching noise solos, pounding drums with stamina beyond measure and screaming bloody murder vocals. Witchery absent? Get Shrapnel. Exodus and Bonded By Blood missed? Get Shrapnel. Speed and brutality amiss? Get Shrapnel.

Yes we?ve heard it all before, and yes there are bands in the 80s that did it better but who cares when you?ve got old school authentic powerhouse thrash as good as this. Strap on the bullet belts, break out a can and indulge in some filthy thrash, lovely.
MYSTIC METAL
In essence, if you haven't found yourself head banging to any CD's recently, then this is surely going to give you a nice work out! This album possesses the very core of what metal is about. It is pure shredded metal bliss. I cannot recommend this album enough.
