Drowning Horse/Gore Crow Tones split 7"
« on: October 14, 2010, 07:02:15 AM »

WA's kvlt-o Doom merchants Drowning Horse team up with Melbourne based artist Ivens' project, Gore Crow Tones for a split 7" bringing a new meaning to the word 'dirge'. New songs from both artists, each taking up an entire side of this record. Unsettling and grim, this record is not for the weak. For those who are not particularly fond of heavy, droned out guitars, punishing feedback and an all round depressive vibe : steer clear; this record is a complete mind fuck.

220 copies available on black vinyl for fans of Corrupted, Burning Witch, Sunn O))) and Escitalopram. $10 (or $12 ppd Aus).

Available to order from www.myspace.com/drowninghorse or email to kameart_@hotmail.com

The music sounds good but I don't have one of those record players.

Blut Aus Nord and Leviathan have vinyl recordings that interest me. And many others. Maybe I should get one?

but i wouldn't get one of those as they often don't play at the correct speed or they fuck up your vinyl, either way they aren't reliable. spend $200 on a reasonably decent entry level record player and you can just play it through your existing hifi. if you're gonna spend a lot of money on vinyl (and you will once you realise how awesome it is) there's no point playing it on a shitty player.
