Im going if Steel Panther is playing, period.

Agreed.

Saw them when i was holiday in the U.S.

Probably the most 'fun' i've had at a concert ever.

The dudes are funny as shit when improvising insulting people.

Saw them at the House Of Blues in Las Vegas, Totally awesome, great fun.

Probably better in a club than a festival, but still worth a watch  :headbang:

Seen Steel Panther nine times now (going back to when they were Metal Skool)  ;D Their festival show is totally different to the club show, but still worth seeing. Festival show is mostly their original material, the club show is mostly covers with more audience interaction (and always a celebrity chucked into the mix, and often some high wire guitar solo acrobatics...).

What sucks, is that those nine times Ive seen them, would have cost less in total than this one ticket to Soundwave...

UNEARTH, DESTROY REBUILD UNTIL GOD SHOWS (D.R.U.G.S), FUNERAL FOR A FRIEND, STEEL PANTHER, DEVIN TOWNSEND PROJECT, BLACK VEIL BRIDES, WE ARE THE IN CROWD are the latest official confirmations....plus if you snoop in the right places, there are even more bands that are yet to announce themselves officially. Excitement BUILDING!

Can't seem to find it now, but pretty sure I read a comment somewhere about the promoter, AJ, stating there won't be any side shows either.

AJ Maddah, announced on Twitter that ?I need to now decide whether to skip Perth altogether and instead do a regional East Coast date, etc. The WA Gov has (with 5 months notice) moved the Oct long weekend. Between the distance, thieving operators, incompetent /bar managers, etc, it is already an uphill battle to bring SW to Perth.?

The planned Melbourne date ? Friday 30th September ? is not a public holiday or weekend, but Maddah says that ?The deal is that Melbourne sells out regardless of what day it is on. Perth people have a different attitude.?

What a fucken weak excuse.

Of course we've got a different attitude, we've been constantly screwed over by the larger promotion companies, and this event is just further salt in the wounds. You can't blame the WA crowds for being cautious about investing in such an event when a decent amount of them have been canceled in the past.

Such promoters need to stop complaining about WA, and do something to improve their own reputation here.

That would be cool, but they'll be even more out of place than Dimmu were.
