:( This morning, Quiet Riot posted on their Facebook page that the Australian/NZ Metal Health 2011 tour also featuring Warrant and LA Guns has been cancelled due to breach of contract. We'll update you as soon as we have the official statement from the promoters\m/

An official announcement from Intense Impact will be forthcoming later today regarding a revision of the Metal Health 2011 Tour. This revision was initiated in order to take into account that Quiet Riot have decided not to continue with this tour, therefore Intense Impact are restructuring the current concert line-up with the welcomed addition of Mike Stone (Queensryche) new band ?The Stick People?

This is bitter sweet. It's on a friday night. But it also clashes with the Cancer benefit gig.

obviously there isn't enough spandex in Australia to satisfy their needs

Hope they add another band because i'd rather have a refund. The main band i was interested in was Quiet Riot and some side-band doesn't make up for that.

Quiet Riot, Warrant and L.A. Guns regret to inform their fans and the public that as a consequence of the promoter's breach of contract the "Metal Health Tour" scheduled for April 2011 in Australia and New Zealand has been cancelled.

Questions regarding refunds should be directed to the promoter - intense impact.

Following on from the news that Quiet Riot have pulled out of their Australian tour, fellow touring act Warrant and replacement Stick People have also pulled out, leaving just LA Guns.

When Daily SPA spoke to promoter Intense Impact?s Shane Tester last week he was confident that Warrant would still be playing the ?Metal Health? triple-bill.

?We?re currently re-negotiating the terms and conditions of a new tour with Warrant.? He also claimed that Stick People, Queensr?che guitarist Mike Stone?s new band, had been ?confirmed yesterday?.

However all of this seems to have fallen through, judging by posts on Intense Impact?s Facebook. The tour is now offering two-for-one offers for existing ticket holders as well.

Last week they announced, ?It is with much regret that we announce that Warrant are not budging and refusing to honour our contracted and booked tour?! Warrant, along with Quiet Riot, are also refusing to return their performance fee deposits we paid them in advance + return the costs of their airline tickets that once we cancel are non-refundable. Intense Impact has exhausted every avenue.?

That was followed with, ?There is no reasoning with unreasonable egos. A replacement band will be announced within 24 hours. Any angry and upset Warrant and Quiet Riot fans please direct your comments to Warrant and Quiet Riot websites and understand we have done all we possibly can above and beyond the call of duty to honour not just the bands, but you fans as well.?

In further comments they suggested at legal action against the bands.

On Monday they posted, ?Stick People unfortunately cannot make it in time for the tour due to unforseen passport problems with their singer.? They claimed that Defryme would be filling in for the Australian leg with a third band to be announced.

L.A. Guns still appear to be locked in and the tour re-named to ?Sex Action?. Fans were also notified that their tickets were worth two, in that they could all bring along a plus one to the event.

There had been some concern amongst fans against refunds after posting on the wall that ticket outlets were not?honouring refunds. Intense put this down to the Easter break and the outlets needing their permission to start refunding tickets.

?That is being sorted out now it may take a few hours logistically to set up the process but we have notified all venues and [ticket outlets] in writing and are waiting on responses,? they posted.

In an attempt to calm nervous fans they also posted, ?LA Guns are right now heading to LAX with my USA Intense Impact staff who are also accompanying them on the plane flight? everything is going smoothly stop worrying.?

Shane Tester had been unable to comment to Daily SPA by deadline.
