Vespers Descent are launching their full length album 'Fragments of the Forgotten' at the Amplifier bar on the 8th of July.

Its been nearly two and a half years since the release of the ep 'Reality Dysfunction' and after a line up change and a new direction Vespers Descent are thrilled to be releasing their new full length album.

'Fragments of the Forgotten' will mark Vespers Descents 4th studio release with 12 tracks that are sure to stamp them as one of Australia's prime melodic death metal acts.

Joining Vespers Descent on the night in support will be:

Noctis
Empires Laid Waste
Dogs of War

This show will be one not to miss.....

We are happy to announce that Australian progressive metal band Alarum will be heading over from Melbourne to play on this show!

Alarum are soon to release their new album 'Natural Causes' and have toured and played with bands such as Necrophagist, Arsis, Neuraxis & Cattle Decapitaion, Testament, Obituary, Lamb Of God, Aghora, Death Angel, Gojira & Dark Tranquillity as well as playing on metal festivals such as The New England Hardcore & Metal Festival, California Metalfest, Maryland Deathfest and ProgPower Europe. It's been more than 5 years since Alarum have made it over to Perth so we are looking forward to having them on the bill!

Unfortunately Alarum have lost their guitarist and were forced to cancel but on a more positive note Dogs of War are back in action and have been added to the show!

That was an awesome night, from the bits I remember. Having never seen Noctis live, I was pretty blown away. I now see where the Opeth comparisons come from (pretty fucking obvious) but I dont mind, because it was still spell binding.
Vespers were killer too, though things started getting a bit hazy by this point.
I didnt even remember that I went to the Rocket Room til my girlfriend mentioned something about it the next afternoon, so that goes to show how much fun I had!
