The band is currently putting the finishing touches on Sons of Asena, the follow up to their 2008 debut album Devastator. Featuring eleven tracks that mark a reinvigorated vitriol and a darkened perspective creatively, Sons of Asena sees Double Dragon pushing their sound and songwriting into previously uncharted territory, whilst retaining the trademark heaviness of their punishing live show. The album also features guest appearances by ARIA and APRA Music Award winners Kate Miller-Heidke and Keir Nuttall, both of the Kate Miller-Heidke band, on its closing track Asena. Sons of Asena is expected to be released sometime later this year.
