With special guests Eleventh He Reaches London/Tangled
Thoughts Of Leaving/Drowning Horse
8pm - 2am
Saturday September 17
The Bakery - 233 James Street, Northbridge
Instrumental rock/metal trio, Russian Circles are heading to Perth for the first time on Saturday September 17 at The Bakery.
Hailing from the windy city of Chicago, Russian Circles have been making their mark on the international underground since 2004, playing instrumental, sprawling music which runs the gamut of heavy discordant metal to soft delicate passages.
Starting with their self-titled EP in 2004, Russian Circles have achieved critical acclaim through the recording of numerous singles and split releases, not to mention three monumental full-length albums, with a fourth due for release in October. They?ve even made their mark on the Billboard Charts with their most recent album, Geneva entering at number 24.
Russian Circles have shared the road and befriended every like-minded band you know and love, most notable Boris, with whom they are currently co-headlining a European tour.

Eleventh He Reaches London
Rockers Eleventh He Reaches London are making a special and rare appearance at The Bakery in support of Russian Circles. Their accomplished and second album, Hollow Be My Name, was recorded a few years back and broke the record they had previously set for hours spent in Bergerk! Studios by a band on a single project. After a six-month hiatus they?ve back and we hear they?ll be dropping some brand new tracks.
Tangled Thoughts of Leaving
Progressive/post-metal instrumentalists, Tangled Thoughts of Leaving, are next month launching their debut album, Deaden The Fields. Having attracted attention from reviewers across Australia and online for their intense and fiercely engaging live sets on the back of their 2008 EP, Tiny Fragments, they?re designed to be a challenging listen ? unapologetically progressive and relentless, never allowing the listener to settle into a comfort zone.
Drowning Horse
If you caught Perth kings of doom, Drowning Horse support Melbourne band, Heirs earlier this year, you?ll know what to expect from the five-piece ? slow and brutal rhythms, and most definitely ear-shattering.
