"THE UGLY WORLD TOUR 2011" AUSTRALIA NOVEMBER

CHILDREN OF BODOM's enthralling mix of modern heavy metal, melodic hooks and the guitar acrobatics of front man Alexi Laiho have solidified the critically acclaimed Finnish band as one of the leading and largest voices of metal's new generation.
The flambouyant quintet eagerly return to Australia as part of "THE UGLY WORLD TOUR" for an explosive run of spectacular shows on the back of their latest release "Relentless Reckless Forever" to once again display why their unique union of haunting melodies, rhythmic sensibility, guitar-and-keyboard interplay and king-size solos are unmatched by anyone!

Support for these incredible shows will come in the form of the versatile and unique sounds of Perth melodic maestro's VOYAGER. Children of Bodom! AWESOME!

But pfffffffffttt Soundworks you have failed yet again. Why put a band on as support like Voyager?!?!? There are many better and more suited bands in Perth, let alone Australia. The supports are always the most ridiculous efforts ive ever seen.

Cant wait for the next Voyager support announcement. No doubt it'll be ridiculous...again...

Children Of Bodom is hardly brutal, and while Voyager might still be different stylistically, most Perth bands havne't done half the shit they've accomplished nor have the numbers in their fan base, plus with a new album on the way it's an excellent opportunity to promote it...from a promoter's points of view it's a no brainer, so neck up with your whinging.

Wish there was a slightly bigger venue in Perth other than Metro City, Capitol was packed to the rafters last time and couldn't see fuck all, so be sure to buy your tickets and get there early.

Yeah, they've been in the studio, and gearing up for a few gigs in America.

So it seems it's always a toss up betwen Claim the Throne and Voyager for support slots. Any reasons why?

Bands havent done half the shit they've accomplished because they've never been given a go. Children of Bodom are gonna pull a massive crowd anyway so wouldnt promoters wanna give a better band a go, or a band that suits. If Voyager didnt have Soundworks giving them gigs all the time it would be interesting. How are other bands supposed to get out there if the same band supports every metal band that come here.

I bet you all a jar of Nando's sauce the next Metal band to tour Oz is supported by Voyager   ;)

Because Dyson is in Claim the Throne and he runs Soundworks. That would be one reason.

Mate, there are no hand-outs in this industry. This isn't a charity. You work hard and you get the reward. Do you think Voyager were just given a go when they were starting out? 3 albums and one on the way later and they are starting to get the recognition they deserve.

As for Voyager not doing too much lately; National tour with Alestorm, signing with new label, scored a slot at Prog-Power USA, recording their 4th album. They've been busy. No band works harder.

Voyager isnt exactly my cup of tea musically, but not many bands put on a better show live. They are true professionals, and the music they play, the play extremely well. These guys have been around for YEARS in the local scene, and deserve everything they get. This coming from someone who could either take them or leave them. Credit where its due.

Malignant would be a good fit for this show.

Anyway, at least it's a Perth band getting the National support than some faggy eastern states band.

More exposure the better.  :headbang:
