great to have a fundraiser for someone, but what exactly are the funds being raised for? that hasnt been made very clear (unless its on the facebook page, which I cant access at work).

It is to help raise funds for an appeal for a person who has been sentenced to 2 years jail for being pressured to send text messages in attempted extortion, despite openly apologising to the victims during the incident and purposely delaying communications in an effort to prevent it from happening. Defamed by the media, assumed as "guilty by association" and all without actually threatening anyone, he has now been imprisoned with high-risk inmates in a maximum security prison for 3 months and counting (all the while the actual culprit, whom the gang squad were so desparate to bring down, now sits in a protection unit continually delaying his sentence). He is the father of two young children whom he was the sole income earner for, and was due to get married just weeks before the sentencing...this person is also my younger brother.
