Thraxas! hit the scene with “Cthulhu Rising” in 2019, and later in 2021 released their debut EP, “Planetary Terrorism.” The band follows a thrash and groove style with elements from each individual member also showing a splash of death metal and even prog. Founding members Bull Woods and Izak Easterbrook created Thraxas!, with the name originating from the Thraxas fantasy novel series, where Aleks Radman and Dan Andrews later joined to fulfil the current Thraxas! lineup.
2023 has seen Thraxas! travel across Australia, with this year being their year to focus on a new release. A debut 12 track album is on the way where they will hit the studio later on in the year for a 2024 release. This album will dive into heavier and more complex directions, showcasing a new Thraxas! but also returning back to their roots of Machine Head, Lamb of God, Nile and The Ocean. If you like hard hitting but also technical riffs and duel solos, this is the band for you.
