Oceans & Omens emerged from the darkest abyss, from remnants of Perth band To The Depths, along with some new blood.
Washing up on the shores of Perth, Western Australia, and Mission Beach, Queensland, following the carnage that was 2020, Oceans & Omens is a five-piece metalcore band comprising: Sean O’Brien (vocals), Rowan Leah (lead guitar), Aaron Ganley (rhythm guitar), Nathan Menage (bass), and Kieran Wallace (drums). They blend quintessential Australian old-school and modern metalcore sounds with an epic narrative of life, death, vengeance, remorse, and the cunning that lies beneath the waves.
After releasing their debut single Deliverance (March 2021), and their debut EP I: Descent (June 2021), Oceans & Omens have hit the ground running. They have received airplay on national metal radio station The Faction, and appeared live alongside Perth metalcore acts Our Demise, scene heavy weights Patient Sixty-Seven, and Perth metal legends Paradise In Exile. In May 2022 Oceans & Omens released their sophomore single Surfacing, and supported the release with headline launch show at Amplifier.
As their hold grows tighter over the Perth Metal scene, Oceans & Omens are just beginning to break the surface.
